David and Barbara Matz have been married for 21 years and have a combined sales experience of 31 years.
Barb was born and raised in Slovakia, Europe and moved to Atlanta, GA when she was 17 to attend her senior year of high school as an exchange student. After HS, she attended college where she met David and they married in 1996. She has a degree in business management and administration and attended photography school. She speaks the Slovak and Czech language fluently. She has always loved numbers, photography and interior design and after having her 3rd son, she decided to begin her career in real estate. In 2006, she obtained her license in GA and in 2017, in Hawaii.
David was born and raised in Atlanta, GA; however, lived in Hawaii briefly during his high school years. He attended college in Atlanta and pursued a business degree. David has been in sales his whole adult life. In his prior sales field, David was able to achieve top sales status and move up quickly through the company while earning top awards. It was always his dream to one day move his family back to Hawaii. It was an easy task because his wife Barb and 3 sons have loved the islands as much as he has.
After moving to Hawaii in 2015, Dave and Barb immediately began familiarizing themselves with the island of Oahu. Being in the real estate field in Georgia since 2006, in 2017, they decided to continue their journey of real estate in Hawaii. Their philosophy is simple: clients come first. Their professional cohesion and balance is evident in both, business and life, and they complement one another to always deliver exceptional service to their clients. They believe in constant communication and keeping their clients fully informed through the entire process and beyond whether selling or buying, while creating long lasting relationships. Jessel was born and raised in the Philippines where she earned a BS in Marketing and Sales with a concentration in Hospitality and Hotel Management. After a short time working in Hotel Event Sales and Management, she started her worldwide journey that eventually led her to Hawaii. Working for an international cruise line, she traveled the ports of the Western Mediterranean working in hotel operations and management on the ship. After a season at sea, she returned to the Philippines and utilized her keen marketing skills to become a regular top sales associate for one of the leading telecommunications companies in the Philippines. In 2005 she relocated to California, further honing her expertise in sales with the US leader in telecom. After many trips to Hawaii for vacation, she followed her heart and in 2009 made it her permanent home. Arriving in Hawaii offered new challenges; she accepted a position with Hawaii Medical Center West, again quickly raising to the top of her new profession of medical finances. When HMCW closed, she accepted a position with the Veterans Administration (VA) at Tripler Army Medical Center, serving the financial needs of our Veterans. She excelled in medical financials, but eventually took a sabbatical to raise her son. Desiring a return to sales and marketing, she entered the Hawaiian real estate market in 2017. Jessel is passionate and tenacious in everything she pursues, this includes guaranteeing you will get the best representation, regardless of selling your home or buying your dream home. She is an avid fitness buff, winning and placing in many local and national competitions. When not working, furthering her education or working out, she loves spending time with her husband, son and dog doing just about anything with them.
